OBIAJOR – Observatório de Inteligência Artificial no Jornalismo – is an organization dedicated to monitoring the use of artificial intelligence in the media across the Iberian Peninsula, both in terms of how it is used in newsrooms and how it is reported on.

Although the main focus is on the Iberian region, the Observatory will maintain a broader perspective, taking global contexts into account.

With this vision in mind, OBIAJOR will work along four lines with specific objectives.

1. To analyze the portrayal of AI in the Iberian media.
2. To document the various applications of AI in the Iberian media.
3. Identify how the media communicate their AI practices to consumers at the various stages of the news production process.
4. Develop AI solutions that can help local media outlets.
