{"id":32671,"date":"2026-08-27T12:59:53","date_gmt":"2026-08-27T12:59:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/obiajor.ubi.pt\/?p=32671"},"modified":"2026-08-30T00:32:46","modified_gmt":"2026-08-30T00:32:46","slug":"comunicacao-humanos-e-maquinas-desafios-da-democracia-e-da-etica","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/obiajor.ubi.pt\/en\/comunicacao-humanos-e-maquinas-desafios-da-democracia-e-da-etica\/","title":{"rendered":"COMMUNICATION, HUMANS, AND MACHINES: CHALLENGES TO DEMOCRACY AND ETHICS"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"site-bilingual-content-en\" data-no-translation><p>The <strong>17th International Communication Seminar (SEICOM)<\/strong> will take place from <strong>10 to 12 November<\/strong> at the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul (PUCRS), in Porto Alegre, Brazil, with the option to participate online.<\/p>\n<p>The event aims to promote debate on communication processes and practices, power relations and technologies, considering their social, political and cultural impacts, under the theme <strong>\u201cHumans and Machines: Challenges for Democracy and Ethics\u201d.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The call for extended abstracts is open until <strong>14 September<\/strong> (abstracts must be no longer than 4,000 characters and comply with ABNT standards).
